Commercial Fire Blanket

Product Overview

A fire blanket is a sheet of fire-resistant woven fiberglass (or alternatively certain high-silica fabrics) that is thrown or wrapped over a small fire to exclude oxygen and extinguish it. Because it works without chemicals, pressure or moving parts, it is the safest option for people with no firefighting training — especially in a busy kitchen where a grease fire can occur in seconds.

In commercial settings, fire blankets are specified for restaurant cooking lines, hotel housekeeping, school laboratories, workshops, and anywhere a small flammable-liquid or clothing fire is possible. They are also widely used to wrap a person whose clothing has caught fire. Unlike powder or CO₂ extinguishers, a blanket leaves no residue and does not spread burning oil. The blanket is folded inside a rigid wall-mounted container with a quick-pull tab so it deploys in one motion during an emergency.

Our supply partners in China manufacture blankets to EN 1869 and BS 7876 standards, with fiberglass cloth of 0.4–0.6 mm thickness, stitched hems and heat-resistant pull tapes. Custom sizes, container graphics and private-label printing are available for distributors.
