Product Overview
A commercial kitchen fire suppression system is a legally required safety device in most jurisdictions for any kitchen with open-flame or deep-fat cooking. This automatic wet chemical system is designed around the CMJS-type kitchen equipment fire-extinguishing technology developed by Chinese fire equipment manufacturers, now produced for export with UL 300 compatible wet chemical agent.
The system mounts above and around the cooking hood and along the ductwork. When a fire is detected, a network of nozzles discharges a wet chemical (potassium-based) solution that rapidly cools the burning oil and forms a thick soapy foam layer over the oil surface, smothering the fire and preventing re-ignition. It works in concert with a fuel shut-off valve that cuts off gas or oil supply to the cooking equipment at the moment of discharge.
Chinese fire protection manufacturers, clustered in Beijing, Nanjing, Shenzhen and Dongguan, supply these systems to Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Systems can be specified for CE (EN 15677/UL 300) markets, CCCF certification for fire inspection, and custom nozzle counts to match the number of protected cooking appliances and duct openings.
